16 Mar Do You Ever Feel Like a Nobody?
The other day I was driving and my CD finished and by default the next CD commenced in which my daughter had inserted a Katy Perry album.
The song was “Firework” which starts with:
“Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?
Drifting through the wind
Wanting to start again…”
Yes everyone can relate to feeling like they are a “nobody”
Then the song slowing takes you from feeling like a zero to a hero because now you’re going to
“Let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July…”
Now we feel great-we are going to prove we are a “somebody”.
Great song but it got me thinking. I suppose many of us feel down because we consider we are a “nobody”. We feel unhappy about the fact that we are not a “somebody”. We need to be something larger than life. We need to shine.
If you consider that you are not your body. You are the expression of life that temporarily uses the body as not only a garage but as a suit complete with instrumentation in order to interpret the world. You are the dimension that remains when this temporary suit has decayed. Therefore, you have no form or you are not your body. You are in fact a NO body.
The happiest people on earth already know they are NOT their body.
They are what’s inside.
They are already shining like a firework.
They have already ignited the light by this knowledge
They know we are all the same- that we are all equal with no need to prove superiority or feel diminished in any way for any reason.
When you awaken to the realisation that we are all an expression of life, you will realise that when you feel like a no body- you can smile because so is everyone else and then you can keep smiling because
at least you know it!
