14 Jul The Key to Life is to Chill Out
Most of the time we take things that happen in our life too seriously. Happy people have learnt to ‘lighten up’.
We need to take things that happen to us or in our reality, in our stride- and not get upset because we had a different picture in our head of how things were going to work out. As humans we all seem to get very stressed about things that happen to us or in our life, that are out of our control, from a big scale event right down to the smallest things like the weather.
With winter now upon us many of us will in fact get caught in the rain. Most people get distressed and upset about getting caught in the rain and it will be the first thing they complain about.
If you get caught in the rain this week instead of immediately seeking cover and becoming annoyed about your outfit or your plans having been compromised- DANCE!
Dance in the rain like Fred Astaire in the movie ‘Singing in the Rain.’
Conscious Living is about accepting ‘what is’ and bringing joy to any situation.
It is our mind that tells us a story that ‘it is very unpleasant or a bad thing to be caught in the rain- to be avoided at all costs’. Practice accepting ‘what is’ happening within your reality like ‘you chose it’.
When you get a bill this week- BE THANKFUL!
Be grateful for your job and your ability to pay all your accounts.
If someone is rude to you- SHOW KINDNESS! It might be the hardest thing to do however; I can assure you they probably need it, and those hardest to love are the ones that need it the most.
Play ‘dressups’ with your kids! Host a tea party! CREATE JOY!
Many years ago I found myself in a very stressful situation and I remember meditating on what it was I should be doing:
The answer came loud and clear
RELAX AND ENJOY
