This Instagram Post is worth Remembering

H appy Tuesday Everyone!

I hope your week is going well so far.  Quite the contrary for myself at the moment.  I just underwent a leg procedure and have my Left leg bandaged up so tight that it feels like my foot will turn blue at any time.  To add injury to insult as they say, I had (amongst other things too) pulled a muscle in my back the night before the procedure which has rendered me in a pretty awful state of discomfort and pain.

After a sleepless night, I found myself this morning getting annoyed that my attention and focus was centred at pain management and dealing with discomfort.  I watched my mood shift as many thoughts flooded my head as to how differently I would have liked to spend my day and to where I would have liked to place my attention.

What was really happening in my reality and what I wanted to be happening were at complete variance with one another.  A perfect recipe for depression!

As I thought about my predicament and how much I really don’t like to break my stride, a recent Instagram post came to mind that quoted the words of a Spiritual Master.

It said:

Experience life in all possible ways

good-bad, bitter-sweet, dark-light, summer-winter.

Experience all the dualities.  Don’t be afraid of experience,

because the more experiences you have, the more mature you become.

I took these wise words on board and chose to just experience this occurrence.  My day has turned right around.  As I am limited in what I can do – I found myself teaching my family about mind-mapping.  We had the most amazing revelations and I asked myself, “why had I not ever taught anyone this valuable technique in the last 20 years?”

So next time your having a bad experience take a leaf from the teachings of a great spiritual Master -OSHO

You'll be amazed how your day changes
